Hi!

I am Laura and have been a practicing Social Worker for 16 years. I have worked across various sectors with children and families in early intervention settings to build and promote positive parenting and attachment. I have also worked in Out of Home Care, which allowed me to develop my skills in trauma informed practice.

At the beginning of my career, I worked as a support worker in supported accommodation and have a good understanding of all aspects of service provision. I have always enjoyed working in the sector with individuals and their families. I have most recently worked as part of multi disciplinary teams within the disability sector. As a result I am familiar with the NDIS system and it’s complexity. I am also knowledgeable about where Social Work sits within an allied health team and how it can promote better person centred outcomes for an individual.

I support individuals and their families to work through the challenges and barriers that life can bring. I value working within a person centred, strengths based and empowering way. I also focus on coaching and support vs doing for. Recognising you as the expert of your own life who already has the skills.
